How do you sign βBearβ in ASL?
BEAR: BEAR in American Sign Language (ASL) names the big animal of forests and storybooks. The video and animated demonstration below show the sign.

When do you use the sign BEAR?
BEAR lumbers through camping stories, zoo visits, and half the picture books ever printed. Animal vocabulary is beginner treasure, and the big dramatic animals hold kids’ attention longest. Teddy-bear talk keeps it busy at home long after the lesson.
It appears in Lesson 15 of Book 1 with the first animals.
π BEAR is taught in Lesson 15 of ASL 101: Starting Out β Book 1 of the 216-Day Challenge β
