How do you sign “Pay” in ASL?
PAY: PAY in American Sign Language (ASL) means to hand over the money owed. The video and animated demonstration below show the sign.
When do you use the sign PAY?
PAY settles restaurant checks, monthly bills, and whose-turn-is-it debates. The sign points toward whoever receives the money, so it bends naturally into pay me, pay him, and pay the bill.
